If you have a serial number of the system, you could look up on the B&R website in what configuration this panel was delivered and also with which operating system.

Hello,

5AP1120.1505-000 is not a PPC, it is a 15 inch display panel which is attached to some PPC.

If you expect to get help from the community, you would need to at least provide basic information about the model name of the PPC and the OS type and version that is currently installed on it.
One way of doing that is to follow a suggestion by @corne.geerts (above) and share the details here.

Thanks and Best Regards,
Alexander

Share with us serial numbers or take a picture from the backside of your hardware, ensuring that the serial numbers and model numbers are visible. If you have only AP=automation panel, you would need PPC unit as well. But without detailed info we can not really help you.

Find serial number

This information is inconclusive about used operating system.

Perhaps more information can be gathered by making a System Dump with SDM.

Since there is no GPOS included in this set, it is either an ArEmb system or CU used to install their own GPOS system. The original description mentions that the OS is missing on this target. In this case, you need to purchase a license for the hypervisor and respective GPOS, modify the configuration in your project, and install both GPOS and the hypervisor.

Thanking @kovarj for the information and recommendation, may I suggest that since the 5PPC2100-BY22.000 model has only 2GB of RAM, another possible way would be to use a Windows OS and ARwin.

But I can’t say much about the license differences. Perhaps ARemb license (which should be included with the system on a HID dongle) would work with ARwin. I’m not sure…
Jaroslav, could you please comment on this?

For a hypervisor system, 2GB is the minimum requirement. See this link. So, for a simple application with Linux GPOS, you might still be able to use a hypervisor. But, it’s hard to say without knowing your specific requirements. ArWin has been obsolete for a long time; I’m not sure if you can still install or use it. This is a question for other colleagues in the Community or BR support. From a licensing perspective, ArWin and ArEmbedded are two different products and thus not compatible.
