We recently purchased a B&R 2005 series module, specifically an NC154, and we have a few questions regarding how to test it.
Our main question is: How can we properly test this module? We have not been able to find the required Automation Studio upgrade or support package for this specific module.
Additionally, according to the datasheet, the NC154 requires a specific operating system, which has been very difficult for us to find. Because of this, we are not sure whether the module is powering up correctly.
When we connect the NC154 together with a power supply (PS) and a CPU (CP), the Error LED flashes once, followed by the Status LED flashing once. After that, all LEDs remain off.
We suspect that this behavior may be related to the module not having the required operating system installed or available.
Could someone please help us understand how we can properly test the NC154 and verify whether the module is functioning correctly?
Any information regarding the required software, operating system, Automation Studio version, or recommended testing procedure would be greatly appreciated.

-> If I’m not mistaken, this HW is already supported by older versions of AS. As mentioned above, ask your local B&R for the proper version, and then it should be easy: just create a project and transfer it to the PLC.
