Visualization Implementation

The mapp View implementation for C650 is optimized for embedded use. It uses the same engineering workflow as other platforms while adapting rendering and widget behavior for multi‑touch‑oriented projects and cost‑efficient hardware.

Key properties include:

  • Multi‑touch‑optimized visualization

  • Consistent engineering across panel classes

  • Development within Automation Studio 6

  • Collection of dedicated widgets for embedded HMIs

Future platform extensions are intended to maintain compatibility without additional engineering effort.

Widget Set and Service Integration

Widget Categories

  • Buttons

  • Tables

  • Input/output controls

  • Charts

  • Scripting

  • Unit handling

  • Localization

  • Data binding

Integrated Services

  • Alarm handling

Unified software versions provide consistent behavior across multiple platforms.

Just wanted to share with you information about the new PP C650. If I’m not mistaken, the first version will support VC4 and later on this year, mappView as well. MappView is optimized for this hardware; for more detailed information on what is available and when, your local sales representative should help you  For new projects, you should for sure go the mappView way. VC4 is there more if you need to convert e.g. C70 projects to new hardware.
