MAPP for safety only

Hi, is anyone using MAPP for safety only without using the whole MAPP infrastructure (or whatever it is called)?
We have a site with X20 PLCs and Pilz PSS PLCs which are obsolete, and the customer wants to replace them with B&R safety PLCs. We haven’t used any MAPP tools so far and don’t want to start on this site as it has hundreds of PLCs, HMIs etc. and want to just concentrate on the 15 safety PLCs. I’m after the most efficient way of writing the safety code for this

I have tried to read the B&R word salad for MAPP, and honestly I’m no nearer to even knowing what it is - is there an idiot’s guide somewhere?

Yes it is possible to use only mapp Safety, you are not forced to using any other mapp components.

I would recommend getting in touch with your local B&R branch, they can give you more detailed guidance.

Thanks Tommi, I’ll get in touch with them and ask them to advise
There looks to be more steps using MAPP. so not sure what I’m saving
