No connection to safedomain on mappView

Hi,

I have mappSaftey and am trying to use the pre-configured mappView with it

I think I have everything configured correctly, but it only worked once. Tried rebooting PLCs and laptop, but mappView won’t connect to the safeDomain again. I have probably done something silly, but I can’t see what, and the help is no help. This is using a web browser:

I am using AS4.12.5.95, AR M4.93, mappView 5.24.8 and mappSafety 5.24.2. The PLC connects to the safeDomain:

Can anyone think what I might have done please?

Brian

I’m not an expert on this, but I’m not sure if this is officially supported. Maybe we have a better expert on this. Just a question for me: you mentioned it worked once. What have you changed? Have you tried it with a different browser?

As far as I know official solution for this use case is switch to SfDomain library approach .

It might be related to the “Login” button in the upper right corner.
Seems that you are not logged in, so you should do that first. :locked_with_key:

Hello,

It looks like you have deleted the “Anonymous” User which is preset by Automation Studio. If this User is deleted, the HMI does not show the Texts as we can see in your screenshot. This is a known topic that the MappView Default HMI of MappSafety does need this “Anonymous” user in the Background.

Please don’t delete this one …

Thanks Michael, that was it

I had created another user, then deleted it - I must have got carried away with the delete key

Put it back in and it works now. Out of interest, I was heading the same way as I had this in the logger (had to tick extra boxes to see it)

All the best,
Brian
