I recall Automation Studio used to have a portable installation option, which allowed you to install/unpack Automation Studio creating all of the folder structure to any file device, but not make the registry changes/startup menu changes. I believe the idea was you could move the installations between computers without taking up file space on each laptop if you only used the exclusively at a time.
