Hello:

I see one function SK-COPY on SL8100.For this function, can I copy the safe program from old safekey to new empty safekey?

If can’t, what data must be copied using this function?

Yes this function is used to copy the safety program and configurations to a new safekey.

I tried to copy the safety program to one empty safekey. But it doesn’t seem successful.After copied,the S/E turned orange.

Is my operation incorrect or is there a software version requirement?

I don’t think so - the functionality is intended to copy the machine relevant data to a SafeKEY with a new safety program.
That’s why the safety program files are NOT copied to the new SafeKEY.

At least the same help page your screenshot is from is also saying that it should be possible to copy and have two identical SafeKEYs (backup copy).

I also think the help is written very confusingly here.
If you take the “with an identical safety application” part of the sentence, it might imply that this has to be already on there and only the other data is backed-up so the keys are THEN identical. But that’s speculation tbh
Maybe someone can take this thread and use at as an excuse to rewrite the help page :wink:
