T30 Lower performance after firmware update

Hello everyone,

I have the HW configuration:

AS: 6.7.0.187
PLC: X20CP0484-1
Panel T30: 6PPT30.101G-20B

The panel had firmware 1.6.2 and I updated it to 1.8.0.
For the same simple visualization in MappView, the panel sometimes disconnects with the message “Lost Connection” and the visualization starts up again, which takes quite a long time. It didn’t do this with firmware 1.6.2. Is there any way to increase the performance of panel so that the panel doesn’t disconnect? Would it help reduce the speed of OPC UA, or something else?

The only thing I had to change was to add the line (Configuration key=“zoom” value=true) to the VIS configuration file, because after the firmware update, sliders started appearing at the bottom and side of the screen.

Every idea is welcome.

Hello,

You can try increasing the watchdog or disable it completely.

If version 1.6.2 was ok, you can downgrade and raise a ticket regarding version 1.8.0 to your local B&R support.

Thanks for the answer. I’ll try it.
I also don’t understand why firmware version 1.6.2 displayed the visualization normally (without sliders) and version 1.8.0 with sliders on the bottom and right side, when the visualization has the resolution of the display.
