The controller is claiming that all but one of the devices is unplugged, even though they are all feeding data to the PLC. I cannot find any configuration differences between the device at IF1 and the device at IF8. Also, the one device that the SDM says is connected I cannot log into either.
I’ve tried downgrading firmware on the X67DS838A, different IODD’s for each device, changing the X2X cycle times to Free Running, What else should I look at?
Hey @kmo,
First off welcome to the B&R Community!
If you were see a “CASE-#####” its an indication of a support case sent directly to/from the B&R support team. Any of our support teams can pull this information up for you. To find you local support member see Locations | B&R Industrial Automation
As far as information for CASE-77982,
I believe the issue was due to a parameter not being set correctly. When one of our coulleges attempted to reproduce the behavior, they encountered this.
Hi, thanks, and thanks for for a fast reply.
DTM Diagnostic Server actually was set to OFF., and after setting it ON I still have the same issue that IO link devices are all shown as not plugged but they are working and giving data both in and out.
The annoying thing is that i know we have fixed it before just can’t recall what we did.
@kmo
I would go ahead and create a new post on the B&R community, since this “Ask a Question” has already been somewhat solved. That way you could reach a larger audience who may know a bit more about IO-Link communication issues than myself.
