Hello,
I have a project originally created in AS4.7, which I recently migrated to AS4.11. Now, I am attempting to upgrade it to AS4.12, including updating the mapp framework from version 5.10 to 5.24.5.
After setting the Runtime versions of mapp View to 5.24.7 and mapp Services to 5.24.5, I encountered 450 errors related to the “padding” parameters. I manually adjusted all instances to 5px using an external text editor, which resolved those issues. However, a new error has arisen that I am unable to resolve.
The build process reports a version mismatch: the module mappBase (5.10) is being used by the MpAlarmX module (5.24.5), which requires mappBase version 5.24.1 through 5.24.8.
Unfortunately, I cannot locate a compatible version of mappBase among the downloadable files.
Could you please advise on the correct procedure to resolve this?
Thank you,
Luboš Hemelík

Hello Lubos,
Delete the MpBase library from the “Libraries” folder in Logical View. Then add it again via the Toolbox by selecting “B&R Libraries” and from there the MpBase, you can select the version from the dropdown on the left.
Hello Tommi,
Thank you for the suggestion. I attempted to remove MpBase and then re-add it. In the library list, all Mp* libraries offer the option to select version 5.24.x, but MpBase only provides version 5.10.
I am currently searching for a way to obtain the correct version, but so far, without success.
Thank you,
Luboš
Hello,
Its not the first time i hear of issues with this Version. But i never got to the real root of ist.
Technicaly the mpBase should be part of mappService. If you install for example 5.24.5.6 there should be some lines in the Installation Log, showing that the mpBase has been installed. You can re run the installation again to have a look.
mappService Upgrade
After the installation i would restart Automation Studio and then it should be available via the B&R Library Dialog.
Greetings
Michael
Dear Michael,
It seems that the issue was resolved only after restarting Windows. Following the restart, version 5.24.1 of MpBase appeared in the version dropdown menu.
Tommi also suggested the correct solution, but the new version of MpBase remained inaccessible without a Windows restart.
Thank you both.
Luboš
Hello,
Thanks for the feedback about the required restart of Windows. Each time i get a little new piece of the puzzle.
Good that it works now.
Greetings
