VC3 based tex panel with Compact-S

Hello everybody,

We are converting from older PLC with VC3 based text panel to Compact-S with same panel. Issue we are facing is that Compact-S does not support VC3.

To be able to use this with text based panel without VC3 we have taken up concept where we write commands/strings to panel from PLC code and implement the whole HMI in PLC code. This way to do the implementation is rather programming heavy.

Is there anyone who has done this kind of implementation or has ideas how this could be done better?

You can convert the VC3 to VC4 in Automation Studio 2.x. (Project convertor)
And use a C30.
