VC4 Visualisation display issues with APC4100 and SDL4 display

Hi,

I’m experiencing an issue with running the visualization on the Panel (model 5AP1120.1505) connected to an APC4100. The APC is in “Run” mode, but the visualization does not start. compiled with AS6.3.4

Could you please help me troubleshoot this?

Thanks in advance for your support.

Best regards,
Marcin

Hello Marcin,

Have you configured the panel with the right VC4 elements:?

Hello Wenbo,

thank you for your support

now i see a problem, when i activate the VMain on the Panel on this configuration:

then on the page with parameters of ethernet1 configuration the VMain is displayed with red dot:

but i don’t know hot to configure it, to display the VC4 VMain visualization

Hello Marcin,

The VNC configuration on the ethernet interface is used for access to vc4 thought ethernet. I tried to replicate the your situation, and only managed to do it, if the there are other ethernet interface already using this vc4 object. Maybe you can check the status form other IF.

Hello Wenbo,

The problem only exists on APC4100 with SDL4, i have another configuration with APC910, with SDL3 interface and there all is running fine. On the configuration side of ETH2 is nothing connected

I downloaded today also new module version for 5APC4100.TGL0, and then the Connection for VNC on Panel 5AP1120 is not there

Hello Marcin,

I think what happens here is that you are supposed to have a Vmain1 in your software configuration, the same visu, but added twice

And then you can have them like this

Hello Wenbo,

Thank you very much for your support on this topic.

I also contacted B&R support, and they confirmed that with the new APC4100, VC4 visualization is no longer supported due to the Cyber Resilience Act. With firmware version 1.0.0.0, it was still possible to reference a VC4 visualization to a panel. However, starting from version 1.2.0.0, this option is no longer available, and this behavior is intentional.

Alternatively, using a Windows 10 operating system is still a viable option, as VC4 visualization can work in that environment.

Thanks again for your help!
