I am trying to connect to the X20 PLC VNC server via VNC viewer and I get a message from the viewer that the connection has been closed remotely all the time.
The simulation is activated PLC program is running; I can ping the IF2 ethernet port, check that the default port (5900) is well set and free in both ends. Also, I have tried different ports and still not be able to get access. Still getting the same message. I tested different VNC viewers (tiggerVNC, RealVNC, anyViewer…) and same issue in all of them.
Is there a way to confirm that the ARsim and VNC server is running other that the RUN in the taskbar?
I think the configuration of the VNC server is right (see image below)
It’s very strange. I’ve been working on the project without any problems, and suddenly I couldn’t use the viewer when trying to simulate. Now, the only VNC client I can use is the B&R VNC viewer.
By the way, I can use that viewer without any problems. I just wanted to have everything set up properly in case I run into any configuration issues. But if I have to use the B&R VNC viewer from now on, is there a way to avoid the 60-minute trial mode limitation? Can I use my AS license in the application to have the “normal” version?
B&R VNC server does not limit access to the B&R VNC client. I think the reason why the B&R VNC client works and the other one does not is due to different settings on the VNC client side, such as color depth settings.
