X20BC0053 Devicenet - Compact to Control Logix Conversion

We are looking to convert one of our machines from compact logix to control logix. The machine uses multiple X20BC0053 device net bus cards along with various X67 IO modules. I read the other thread that had some documentation for RSNetworx but I can’t find the same module configuartion page, I am assuming it is a version issue.

I am using RSNetworx version 28 and attached are some pictures of the configuration where I am assuming you should be able to select what modules you have in each slot so that way your IO can be mapped correctly.

Also, the attached pictures are with a 1769-SDN scanner module which will be changed to a 1756-DNB scanner.

Any help is appreciated,
Mike

can anyone help @amesmichaeld?

I am sorry but I NEVER worked with any RSLogix Software so it is (at least for) me very hard to help here but the screnshot you provided shows that a module is configured:

When you take a look at our modules manuals you will always find a so called “ModulID” - as an example for the X67DM1321

B&R Online Help

This means if you would plug a X67DM1321 on the first place next to the BC then the “Slot model type” would be 4881 (decimal number for 1311 hex)

I got it working by basically forcing the IO parameters into the new network. Something is preventing RSNetworx from seeing the IO data “attached picture” so every time the network gets turned off it looses it and I have to download it to the network again. We solved this issue the hard way by isolating the 24v power supply to the network so it never gets shut off.

But for now everything is working.

Thanks,
Mike

Glad to hear that although it seems strange to me that this is not “saved” but as mentioned at least I have never worked with RSLogix and as this is a B&R community i am unsure if many Rockwell users are part of this community
