I want to configure this X20BC00E3 slots on fly with different modules. through programming.
I am using s71200 to program and access the io module.
My set of io modules changes for different configuration. How can i achieve this.
I went through manual but couldnt get enough information on reconfiguring slots with required io modules.
Please help.

Hello, the BC00E3 does not configure the attached IOs. It is the master sending a configuration to the slave. The slave then compares the configuration received from the master and if the attached IO modules which are plugged matches the modules which are sent by the master then it will work.
This means that it is not the slave which is responsible for the configuration. It is the master. If your master system can “switch” hardware via programming and if the master then sends the configuration to the slave then it would be possible.
Thererfor the B&R community is probably the wrong channel to ask this question as it is a question you have to address to the master
