In my old company we used to use the “Panelware” programming software to program the C200. The Panelware Konfiguration Software, PKS, I believe it was called.
Version 2.5 (I believe the last one) would download the operating system V2.5
The cable was 9pin female to female, crossover 2 to 3, 3 to 2, 5 is GND, PC-side 4 to 6 and 7 to 8 bridged. Connect to IF0 on the C200.
I wasn’t aware of the option of using the PG2000 to download the operating system and the Panelware project, but I would expect that the Panel operating system is an object in the graphic window of the pG2000 project and is set as exempted from download into the plc. To download the operating system into the C200, with the cable connected and the C200 powered up with 24VDC, Node switch to “6”, Press the Reset button on the C200 just before download. I would expect to click on an object and download it individually to the C200. It may take forever to download the operating system. Then the project should be a separate icon and a similar operation with the node switch on the C200 set to 7, press the reset button before download. We did have Laptops(operating systems) that allowed program download, but not operating system download, for reasons Uncle Bill might be able to answer. Run mode on C200: Node switch to “5” and comms cable connected to correct port (depends on chosen comms type as set in the Panelware program) . Press Rest on C200…
Needless to say you can’t download an operating system for a plc cpu onto a panelware.
