I am completely new to AS4 and B&R in general, but i have gotten my hands on a C70 Panel that i wanted to try programming something onto. I configured my hardware, which is the aforementioned C70 Panel, along with an X20 Row that includes 5xSM1446-1 modules and 5xZF0000 Modules. However, when transferring the program, i updated the AR runtime version from F4.45 to J4.93. It is now in Boot mode: SERVICE, and the old IP that i used to access it no longer allows me access to the Panel. Do any of you know what i should try to do from here to get my project working? Thanks in Advance.
To get connected, you’ll first need to know how the IP address was configured in Automation Studio. The settings in the project you transferred would have overwritten anything that was already there. To see this, go to your Physical View, right-click on the Ethernet port, and go to Configuration. Can you please tell us what you see here?
The default setting is for the controller to get its IP address from a DHCP server. If it is not connected to one, then you can change this to “Set IP Address Manually” and enter an IP address and subnet. I also recommend setting SNMP to Activated for now. This will allow you to browse for the controller via the Online→Settings Browse window in Automation Studio if you forget the IP address.
This is what my Settings for ETH on the Panel looked like when i opened them now. It seems that it did get the IP from a DHCP Server. Do you know how i would then determine what the current ip Then would be? i should mention, that i am running this on my home internet for now.
I will also take a look at the resources for how to diagnose the Service mode tomorrow.
It’s very helpful that PLC is on your home network. The article Valerio linked is a good option. However, you can also access the administrator settings of your home router/modem and probably find it’s IP address there (if you’re familiar with how to do that).
If you were in this spot and couldn’t find the IP address, you would have to assign a static IP in Automation Studio, rebuild the project, and then do an offline installation. Since the C70 has no removable memory, this is done via a USB stick. That is always an option if you aren’t able to find the assigned IP address.
