8LSC5C Motor DT Upgrade File

Adding my two cents here as well:

Generally: Option “A0” refers to a connector on the A-side of the motor. This option is not currently offered, but apparently was sometime in the past. (I’d say the motor is from 2008)

@sertac_a As already mentioned, you can use EnDat motors without inserting any hardware file besides the drive. The only disadvantages you’ll have are:

  • It’s not listed in the hardware tree
  • You can not use the speed-torque-chart since the AS doesn’t know the various values

You can easily check this (as mentioned) by reading any specific ParID using the test window (when using ACP10) or mapp Cockpit (when using mappMotion). The easiest here are usually ParIDs 40 and 41 (Order code and serial) but apparently they can’t be read on mapp Cockpit (yet?). You can crosscheck at least a few against what you can read on the typeplate (using the list @krausertm provided above). If those you checked match - assume all have been read from the electronic typeplate properly. (Attention to detail: No motor connected or readable means there is a “default” set active which uses a rated speed of 5000, so maybe use another one  )

Best regards
Michael
