Does the ACOPOS 1320 use an internal or external braking resistor? I have an ACOPOS 1320 unit that frequently blows fuses, and I’m not sure why.
Some drives automatically discharge to the braking resistor when they reach a certain threshold, while others require configuration.
Does the 1320 need to be configured, or does it automatically discharge when it reaches the threshold?
Every ACOPOS 8Vxxx servo drive does have an integrated braking resistor and can optionally use an external braking resistor when the internal one is not sufficient. And by default they should actually be active on every drive, to dissipate excessive energy from the DC bus. It is important to note though, that the braking power should not exceed the possibilities of the braking resistor, as this could lead to overload.
