Acopos Drive 1090

Hi,

I have a B&r 1090 rev io drive that is faulty. Will a B&r 1090rev Vo replace it as they are of different versions.

Thank you.

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

welcome to our community !

1.)

the key difference between 8V1090.00-2 vs 8V1090.001-2:

Both are ACOPOS servo drives with identical electrical specifications (3x 400-480V, 8.8A, 4kW), but the only distinguishing feature is:

  • 8V1090.001-2: Coated variant
  • 8V1090.00-2: Standard variant without coating

In most cases this should be not relevant to your software application. (At least I am not aware of this.)

But in fact both drives have different B&R ID codes so application could have taken this into account.

2.) older application may not have ACOPOS operating system included (older SG3 PLC with less memory) so manual action could be required.

In most cases: just switch off machine, plug-in the new drive and wait some minutes after re-powering.

Thank you so much for the clarification
