I have a new 4PPC80.121E-12A which I am switching on for the first time. I created a USB stick of my project via the ‘create USB installation drive’ command, connected it to the PPC and selected it from the BIOS. Once the installation is complete, however, I get stuck in a screen showing ‘AR status: N\A’. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks
Seeing ‘AR status: N/A’ is currently the standard behavior if it is in boot mode because the terminal OS does not get the status information from AR in this state.
Make sure that USB installs are enabled in the project (CPU Configuration > System > Activate USB Install). If this is already enabled, try a different USB drive and different USB port. The USB drive must have a capacity of at least 256 MB and it must be industrial grade.
Respond with the results of the following and the state of the LED status indicators on the C80 if the installation still isn’t working.
Now you have to compare your new project and original project. For beginning I would disable all application tasks in your original project and I would double check configuration between C80 terminal and PLC part. Just compare it.
Certainly, the problem was caused by the fact that in my project I switched CPUs, going from an APC3100 with Hypervisor active to the C80. In making the CPU change, however, some hypervisor properties remained enabled, specifically the Shared Partition Memory previously configured in the APC3100. Unfortunately, with the changeover to the C80 that property was no longer displayed in AS but by opening the CPU configuration file via text editor I could see that this configuration was still present and did not allow AREmb to start on the C80 properly. I made a report to my referring B&R office.
