One of our customer is installing the AS 6.5 but the installation terminates with the below error in the attached image.
What could be the possible reasons and what must be checked ?

please download the DTM Setup from the B&R website (Downloads | B&R Industrial Automation) and install the DTM catalog first. Afterwards, you can run the AS Setup again.

could you please enable .NET 3.5 and then reboot your computer? Then start the DTM setup again.
The it is already same on my Computer also, then what else could be the possibility of this installation error?

Could you try to uninstall first your latest VC++ Redistributable Package and reinstall again?
Make sure to restart your laptop after installing this package.

I have tried the same, by Uninstalling and Installing this C++ Redistributable Package as mentioned and after reboot I have tried to install DTM package. Still I am having the same issue!

What do you see on your pc, when you search “DTM“ and “hilsher“?

After you uninstall DTM take a look at the Registry (“regedit”) if Hilscher got deleted within “Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Hilscher GmbH”
-> “Device Library” and “DTMs” and “GenericSlaveDTM” should be gone

well you see your case is much more complicated than mine and I think there are some conflicts during installation between AS 6.5 and the other sw installed on your pc (Flow device…).
If I have your computer I’ll do these steps:
- remove all of those DTM sw
- double check at the Registry to have no entries under “Hilscher GmgH”, and if I see them I’ll delete them
- delete all files/folders that I have on C:\Temp
- windows restart
- Install AS 6.5 with Admin permission (this time should work
) - reinstall the other sw, Flow device control for example.
BUT before that I would ask a second opinion to our Support because your time is important and uninstall different sw and reinstall all of them (+ relative upgrades ) takes time.

Sure @valerio.manenti , Please check and update.
Anyway I have a lot of other softwares also in my Laptop such as AS 4.4, 4.6, 4.7, 4.10, , 4.11, 4.12, Twincat, E&H, HBK, Melsoft , Studio 5000, Linmot etc…
If that could be the case, do I need to Uninstall all of them or I’ll start using VM for Automation Studio?

even if in the Help we see a comment that AS 6.5 is not tested with VM, we have customers that already did that and AS works fine.
I hope the installation of VM with OS Windows 11 and AS 6.5 will not take too long time.
Please update us about your tests with VM.

I have installed AS 6.5. It is installed in my VM and Running.
I have created one project, the project is created and successfully build. Let’s see how it goes while working in VM.

When you make progress with your work and you have time please report the issue to your our B&R Support,
the issue required deep investigation so unfortunately we can’t do that here.
Please update us in the future when our Support will identify the cause of the problem.
