AS6.7.0 on Mac (Parallels). Errors, cant find installed IO link devices

AS cant find or recognize Installed third party devices such as IODD files for IO link.

Using the same project and third party files work on several pc’s, however installing it in Paralells and Windows 11 result in errors for ‘‘non availble support fort DTM hardware module’’ DTM catalogue has been updated. The project wont compile and no IO link devices can be added in the HW view. Any idea why the imported files cant be found by AS in Parallels?

I am fully aware it is not oficcially supported running AS on Arm but still thats what I would like to be able to do. Accept this issue it seems to work fine.

From my experience, this is usually caused by a broken DTM or a corrupted IODD/XML import.

In some cases, it can also be related to missing legacy runtime dependencies.

What usually helps is to clear the IO-Link/DTM caches, reboot the PC, and re-import the files from a clean source. I would also check that .NET 3.5 and the required Visual C++ runtimes are installed. Running AS once as administrator can also help.

Check Automation Studio support for configuration Parallels+Windows 10/11 running on MacBook. It could help you.
