Can I control DTM Catalog Updates?

I am currently using version 6.5.1.7 and experiencing an issue where importing a third-party device requires reloading the DTM catalogs.

This often causes errors and takes a long time, as the system automatically retrieves numerous unused files from my computer. Is there any way to fix this?

Importing a new DTM device requires the reloading of the entire catalog. Depending on the size, this can take a while.

But once you have that device in the catalog, there should be no need to re-read it. So I would advise you to manually import devices before opening the project.

Also, something that happened to me sometimes: On project open, it sometimes displays something like “Device has already been imported. Would you like to import it again?”

Clicking “Yes” will break the project. Clicking “No” always works fine for me there.
