Can not install V4.0 DT Upgrade (8KSJ94.R0020B104-1) on Automation Studio V4.12

Hi B&R community.

I’m trying do phasing/commutating encoder of motor 8KSJ94.R0020B104 by Automation studio V4.12 - trial version. But I couldn’t install V4.0 DT Upgrade (8KSJ94.R0020B104-1). When I double click to this file, a popup show that this file need to be installed on Automation studio at least ver 4.0.xx. I tried to install it from local window on Automation studio but could not complete.

Any help will be much appreciated.

You are supposed to install the upgrade via the Tools > Upgrades… menu item in the Automation Studio.

There you can either download the upgrade or install the already downloaded upgrade via the Local tab.

Trial license doesn’t support online download and install upgrade.

And when I use local install, software is hung on at “Wait dialog” popup. It look like software got stuck or something like that.

Yes, you’re right. You have to install upgrades locally with the trial version.

The problem was solved. It’s due to I used company laptop. So maybe company’s firewall stops some actions of software.

After IT gave me the administration rights, it took only 3 seconds to upgrade.
