Hi Patrick,

There is the uninstaller in the folder of DTM library:
C:\ProgramData\BR\DTM there is a exe Uninstall B+R DTM.exe.
This should uninstall the DTM library

Regards,
Florent

Hi Florent

I tried but

it doesn’t work…

Ah
Hum I cannot help you more at the moment, maybe ask to your local B&R office or maybe someone here as an option.

Hello @Patrick_Schmitter,

I am facing a very similar issue right now.
You opened this topic a while ago but do you maybe still remember if and how you were able to solve this problem?

Thank you!

Best Regards
Alexander

From AI:
Error 1603 during DTM library uninstallation is a fatal MSI error often caused by locked files, corrupted registry entries, or insufficient permissions. Resolve this by closing all related applications, running the uninstaller as an administrator, or using the Microsoft Install/Uninstall Troubleshooter.

Common Solutions for Error 1603:

  • Elevated Permissions: Right-click the installer/uninstaller and select “Run as Administrator”.

  • Close Conflicting Processes: Ensure all applications that might be using the DTM library (e.g., automation software, IDEs) are completely closed.

  • Run Microsoft Troubleshooter: Use the Microsoft Fix it tool to fix corrupt keys or registry entries preventing removal.

  • Use Third-Party Uninstaller: Tools like Revo Uninstaller can force-remove stubborn programs.

  • Check File Permissions: Ensure the user account has full control over the folder where the library is installed.

I hope it helps
Ciao
Valerio

Hi Alexander

I remember it to be a permission issue.
On this issue i found some solution strategies but i don’t remember witch one solved the problem.
You need to make sure that your user has permission on the folder C:\ProgramData\SYCONnet.

Sorry i missed updating the community entry when finding the solution.

Cheers
Patrick

Hello all,

in our Case we were able to resolve the issue with the Revo Uninstaller Tool as suggested by @valerio.manenti
It found some entry in the Windows registry and deleted it which deinstalled the Library and got a fresh installation to work.

Thank you all for the help!

Regards
Alexander
