Hello, greetings to the entire community.
Our x20cp1584 cpu suffers from some type of hardware deterioration.
We have 2 x20cp1484 cpu in stock.
We want to repair with our x20cp1584 with the components of the x20cp1484 cpu.
We have extracted the 3 electronic boards that make up the x20cp1584 cpu.
We want to know if the components of the x20cp1484 cpu, any of its 3 electronic boards (which ones?) are similar to those of the x20cp1584 cpu to make exchanges between them and be able to repair the x20cp1584 cpu, which is the one we are interested in repairing.
We do not know how many of the 3 electronic boards are compatible between 1584 and 1484 and which of them is different from the processor so as not to change it.
If anyone has experience in this case we would appreciate it if you could guide us.
All the best.
Hello,
I am sorry but a CP1484 is not compatible with a CP1584. The type of processor is different and I doubt that you can simply use one of the boards of the 1484 in the 1584 (or vice versa)
If you have a damaged PLC the way to go would be to contact your local subsidiary and ask for repair or replacement
Thank you Oliver.
We wanted to make sure that exchanges cannot be made between 1484 cpu and 1584 cpu boards.
The 1584 when giving it tension is continuously trying to start but it does not start completely, it is as if it were something that heats up, it turns off and turns on again without being able to start completely and so on all the time.
Regards.
If this happens in BOOT mode as well then the PLC might be damaged.
BOOT mode can be set using the node switch set to “BOOT” on a CP15xx
In BOOT mode it also does this.
Our worst thoughts were fulfilled, if this happens in BOOT mode.
Then you have to send it for repair via your responsible subsidiary
