Mpaxisbase - Error Unknown data type

Dear Sir, I am having problems with automaion studio. What is the reason why the mpaxisbase parameter is not coming?

oops.
I think we need some more information what you are doing.

So otherwise let me guess:

your are working with MpAxisBasic and would like to add the parameter strucutre to it ?

For this you have to insert a new variable of type MpAxisBasicParType into your .var and connect it to the function block by using the ADR() operator.

When I want to define it, I cannot find it in the function blog. I could find it when 4.9 was installed. I upgraded to 4.12 and can’t find it anymore

1.) pre-condition: package MappMotion must be activated in your project settings:

2.) MpAxisBasic is defined in this library which must be a part of your project

When this happens, it turns out that there is an error in the mpaxis function blog? I don’t understand

no, there is no error in the function block.
It just seems, the library is not present in you project.

No I added the library

  • File → Save Project as Zip without upgrades
  • Append the project
    → no more guessing needed

I can’t load things like images from this website.

No I added the library

… and it must be present in this view, too.

When I add a servo driver, ACP10_MC is automatically added to the library.
I think it creates a conflict when I add mpaxis and I get this error. When I delete acp10_mc, the mpaxis error goes away, but this time I get an error about acp10.

that’s true. ACP10_MC is incompatible. You need to select ‘MappMotion’ as motion driver.

When you add a servo drive for the first time, no matter the AS version, there is a wizard guiding you through inserting various other hardware and also asks you to choose either ACP10 or mappMotion. If you choose ACP10 - that’s what you get. Replacing it with mappMotion requires a few steps which I do not have the patience to describe.

  • Start a new project
  • Add the drive via hardware catalog
  • Follow the wizard very closely, pay very close attention to your decisions there!
  • Enjoy your newly created project with working mappMotion FUBs
