PPC does not connect to Automation Studio

Hello,

We are a small team working on a school project using a 5PPC3100.KBU0-000. Recently, after a power outage, we encountered an issue that required us to reinstall the hypervisor on the CPU. We finally managed to ping the machine again from our computer, but we are still unable to connect to it through Automation Studio.

At first, we thought it was a port-related problem, but after checking the configuration, we still cannot identify the cause. Since the CPU responds to ping requests, we are wondering why the connection through the software is still impossible.

We hope someone might have an idea or solution.

Thanks in advance for your help !

Paul

Hi,

Hello,

The following could help you as well - Establishing an Ethernet connection with X20CP1485.

Since you have the hypervisor system, ETH ports are assigned either to GPOS or ArEmb. Which ETH port can you ping? It could be that you are connected to the GPOS ETH port; you can ping it but cannot connect with Automation Studio since it is not ArEmb.

Thank you for your response. I had connected the cable to the GPOS port. That is why it was not working.
