PPC2100 - Power LED constant red

Hello community team,

I need assistance identifying a problem with a PPC2100. Perhaps someone has encountered a similar issue.

I am currently assisting a customer with their PPC2100. The power LED remains a constant red color, and all other LEDs are off. The customer cannot access the BIOS configuration, and both the keyboard and mouse are unresponsive. It appears that the USB ports are inactive, and the screen displays nothing. The customer has already attempted starting the PC without the CF card and removing the TG dongle, but the LED behavior remains consistent.

According to the HELP documentation, this LED indicates that the system is in standby mode (either S5: Soft-off mode or S4: Hibernation mode suspend-to-disk).

I am seeking guidance on the next steps to determine if this PC has a hardware issue.

Hey Yuri!

If the solid red power LED persists through power cycle it is most likely a hardware failure. For one last test make sure the CF card is in the PPC and try pressing the reset or power button. If neither of the buttons change the LEDs, then it should be sent for repairs.
