TSN Switch and B&R Controller X20BC008T Configuration over Automation studio 6 - AR_Ddlo: Data point not yet found

Hi everyone,

As mentioned in the above topic, I am trying to configure both TSN Switch and X20BC008T Bus controller with Automation Studio 6. I started with the instruction manual B&R Online Help , to configure the switch. The Switch has a static IP address of 169.254.50.200 (I configured it with UA Expert beforehand), and the PLC IF2 has a static IP address of 169.254.100, both in subnets of 255.255.0.0. I connect online to the PLC with the IF3 that is configured as an Ethernet Interface with IP of 192.168.2.50. I also configured the PLC time to ensure the certificate is valid. All technology package version information can be found in the attachment. The switch has the latest Firmware 1.7.1.

The problem is, the PLC X20CP1684 can’t seem to find the Switch and results in the following warning in the logger: AR_Ddlo: Data point not yet found, and Error: Missing link detected. The logger is in the attachment.

Has anyone experienced a similar or the same issue with other technology? I am new to B&R and hope someone can help me with this issue.

Best regards

Phurin

Any OPU-TSN expert here in Community who can help?

I have not solved the problem yet but i checked the status of the switch in the SDM, and it turns out it is not plugged even though it is physically plugged. I also tried to connect the bus coupler BC008T directly with the PLC and the status is also unplugged. Has anyone experienced such issue?

Best regards

Hi @phurin8787 ,
I never used that so far, but anyway we start in the same way we study the other B&R products:

  1. Documentation: I see a lot information on the TSN Switch User’s Manual. Could you review that?
  2. Status LED: What do you see?

  1. Could you update SystemDump? not only sysem and communication logger.
  2. You wrote: “The switch has the latest Firmware 1.7.1.” Are you sure about that? The latest one I see is 1.7.0, did you get a new one from our R&D?

  1. HW upgrade:

and the latest I see on our website is that:

6 Any possible issue with power supply?

7 port mirroring for diagnostics, available on your firmware version. Could you upload some wireshark traces.

8 Regarding X20BC008T what do you see?

9 Which fw do you have installed on X20BC008T ?

Thanks

Hi Valerio,

I’m trying to connect the plc to the bus coupler directly now. Only the CS LED of the bus coupler is blinking red twice, which indicates PTP Synchronization time out. The MS LED is green and the ethernet LED is blinking green. As far as i understand the configuration of the bus coupler can be done through the Automation studio but since the device is recognized as not plugged. The configuration is likely not executed yet.

To the firmware side, I remember it wrong and switched the firmware version of the switch and the bus coupler. The bus coupler has the firmware version 1.7.1 and the switch version 1.7.0.

In the current configuration, the bus coupler has the ip of 192.168.1.1 and the PLC has the ip of 192.168.1.100. I connect with the plc thorugh the IF3 which is power link configured as Ethernet with ip of 169.254.50.100. This information is also in the system dump.

I have a plan to reset the plc to its factory setting and try all over again. I believe the problem is not the bus coupler or the switch but rather the plc itself.

Here is the picture of the SDM:

Here is the system dump:
