Visualisation problem automation panel 900

Dear sir,

I have an automation panel 900 type 5AP950.

When the panel starts, it displays a window showing:

0: END
1: STANDARD 19500 BAUD
2: STANDARD 38000 BAUD

Usually, pressing 0 for starts the HMI, but now if we press 0, it displays a black window with unreadable coded text and freezes.
Is this a system problem or a communication error preventing the HMI application from starting?

Please help me resolve this problem. Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards.

From the description itself, it is hard to say and it is more about guessing. Can you provide more info? So, is this panel connected to a PC? If so, can you tell us what PC, what connection is used between the PC and the panel, is that SDL? What happens if you do not press 0 and press 1 or 2? How old is this machine? I guess it is an old machine, right? So if the problem was not there before, could there be a hardware issue? It could be SDLR, SDLT, or the SDL cable itself. Hard to say…

panel connected in card viav cable RS238/RS485 and also PLC connected a same card via ribbon cable. if i not press an any bouttom, nothing happened. the machine is from 2005, but if i see in panel i find folder copied an 2001 to 2006.

thank you.

In my opinion, for a problem like this, you need to follow an elimination approach. I think we can agree that it’s likely a hardware issue.

So first, power it off, wait a minute, and turn it back on. If nothing changes, check whether the PLC is running and only the display is affected.

If the PLC is ON, focus on everything between the PLC and the panel — cables, interface cards, and the panel itself. If the PLC is not ON, then you need to investigate the other side.

I don’t think it’s realistic to expect there’s some kind of “magic button” that will fix this. Unfortunately.

Regarding the PLC, it is powered and running. I also tested the board with a button on the board itself, and it works. However, when the panel starts up, it starts normally, then displays a window to choose the communication type:

0: End
1: Standard 19500 Baud
2: Standard 38000 Baud
3: KA 19500 Baud
4: KA 38000 Baud
5: KY 19500 Baud
6: KY 38000 Baud

We used to press 0, and then the HMI would display directly, but now when we press 0, the black page with the coded text appears immediately.

HI @sofiane.haddaoui what is the status of your topic? have you sent hw to repair department?
