What's in the box? - ACOPOSinverter P74new

Hey Everyone!
Welcome to the first posting of a series I’d like to call “What’s in the Box?”

General Overview
The goal of these posts are to share photographs of unboxing B&R hardware to help spread the knowledge about B&R packaging for particular items. You may be asking “Why post this?” We have found at times that customers fear they might be missing something, or are unsure as to what certain items are when they open the “box” for the first time. Without prior knowledge on what all comes with the hardware when shipped, it can be a challenge without having a reference. That’s where the “What’s in the Box?” idea came to fruition. To share the experience, and knowledge on what are included in the boxes and descriptions/information about these items.

In case your unboxing experience is different than what is shown below, keep an eye on the “capture date” shared below. If you believe something might be missing during your unboxing experience, contact your supplier/orders representative as they would be best suited to help with situations dealing with missing hardware.

ACOPOS P74new
Today we will be covering the ACOPOS P74new.

Upon opening the box you will be greeted with the “safety Data Sheet” and the plug-in module, “8IOIF108.400-1.” More information on this unique module will be discussed later.

You can remove the first layer using the two side slots, to reveal the ACOPOSinverter P74new.

If you remove the P74new you can see how the box is shaped to securely kept the ACOPOSinverter from moving around during transportation.

You may have noticed that additional hardware of the left & right side packaged with the ACOPOSinverter. Theses are additional accessories that are included with the ACOPOSinvter P74new and should be installed onto the ACOPOSinverter P74new before mounting the hardware into your cabinet.

The left side accessory is the Mounting brackets

The right side accessory is the motor pluggable connector

Lastly, The third accessory to highlight is the 8IOIF108.400-1.

Now for those who have worked with the ACOPOSinverter P74 drives, this might look familiar. In an effort to simplify transitioning ACOPOSinvert P74 drive to the ACPOPOSinvertP74new, the decision to utilize the same plug in module was decided, and allows the P74new to be a “drop-in” replacement for ACOPOSinveter P74 drives.

After installing the accessories onto the ACOPOSinverter P74new, it looks like the following:

For additional information on installing the accessories, you can refer to the P74new user manual linked below.

Hopefully this has brought some insight into how the ACOPOSinverter P74new is packaged by B&R. Feel free to share some ideas/feedback to help improve future “Whats in the box?” postings.
