A customer asked us a question about POWERLINK:
Why modules like X20BC8083 and X20BC0083 has no distinction between upstream and downstream. However, modules like X67BC8321.L12 need to have distinction of input and output?
Hello,
the difference between the modules is that the X67BC8321-L12 already has digital IOs onboard, whereas the other two modules are only Powerlink bus couplers. The IOs must be plugged in on the right side.
Regards
Stephan
So, because the IOs have inputs and outputs makes the POWERLINK of this module needs to separate its input and output?
I don’t understand your question.
Hello,
I think thats a documentation issue, for sure a POWERLINK interface has no direction.
Unless of course DNA is used.
Best regards,
Florian
