Automation Studio 6 Docker Containerisation

Hi All,

I was looking to migrate our CI/CD pipeline to Automation Studio 6. As part of that we are using docker containers based on the BnR-DevOps-Package.

The installer seems to error when ran inside the dotnet framework runtime docker image. There is an existing issue in that repository, so I think this may be a common issue AS_6.5.1.7 installation fails in Windows Server Core Docker image · Issue #20 · br-automation-community/BnR-DevOps-Package · GitHub .

This issue already shows the log file from the installer, but please let me know if there is any additional information that can be provided.

Thanks,
Jackson

Could you check the .NET versions installed/activated on the container?

From the installation log it seems that the failing component is the Hilscher Device Library and this seems to require .NET 4.0 or greater when taking a look at Hilscher documentation.

Maybe we should continue this on the GitHub side and return here with the solution to avoid duplicating communications.

Hi @Jacksong , what is status of your issue, can you update us and Help Us Keep the Community Organized?

Jackson did already update the issue on GitHub.

The issue is that the Npcap fails in docker because it wants to install a driver..
This is already in CASE-82398 and a product request is running.
