Can 1 industrial automation PC use 2 monitors like a normal PC? If possible, is there an additional adapter for the monitor?
Good morning @arijaluddin,
Yes, the industrial automation PC can have two monitors. In this case, you can consider it like a normal PC. So, depending on your industrial APC, it will have a type of display port (HDMI, VGA…) or maybe even more than one display port.
In case you only have one display port, you can buy a hub for display ports (the same type of your APC) in order to have more than one. But this hub has to be external to B&R, since, as far as I know, B&R does not sell hubs for display ports.
I hope this helps you,
Eva
I want to try the B&R monitor using a regular office PC, but why can’t the screen be touched?
Hey, your second question does not relate to the original question. If you would like get a help from the community, please always provide as much information as possible. For example, what type of APC or automation panel do you have? How did you connect the panel to the PC? What OS is used on the PC? Have you installed the touch driver? Each B&R panel has a user manual where are described different connection scenarios including touch functionalities.
OK, I’m sorry, for the initial question I asked about installing 2 screens for 1 B&R APC, and the second time I asked about testing monitors for additional monitors to be added, I tested it using an office PC with Windows 7 OS
On our B&R webpage is overview of different HMI products B&R Industrial touch screen panels | B&R Industrial Automation. Select the one you are using, in download section you have manual and in manual is described how to connect it to get video signal and touch.
oke thank you for your answer
