Hi everyone
I have checked rj45 ethernet connection on my machine that installed on some B&R X20 BC0083
I’ve found 2 connection have different configuration, one is straight another is cross
But they use at same connection for X20 BC0083 to X20 BC0083 too
On pictures
Red = straight connection
Blue = cross connection
What’s differences when it used straight or cross connection?
What’s the standart/recomendation for the rj45 connection on X20 BC0083 to X20 BC0083?
Thanks
Hello,
i would refer to the Powerlink Dokumentation in AS-Help.
Technical Data Powerlink
The Technical Data for the B&R Powerlink Cables can be found here (including the Pin Diagrams)
B&R Powerlink Cable
The newer Powerlink devices use modern Ethernet-Hardware which is typicaly capable to use both crossover and patch cables. This should make no difference in most cases.
I think recommended would be to use B&R Cables because they are tested with the devices. But you can also use 3rd Party Cables.
Greetings
Michael
