Welche AS Software bei AC1045.00-1 | Which AS software is used with AC1045.00-1?

Guten Abend,

ich habe einen relativ alten ACOPOS 1045.00-1. Sowie eine X20 CP1583 CPU. Kann ich diese Kombination verwenden ?

Welche AS Version brauche ich dann ?

Danke LG

Good evening,

I have a relatively old ACOPOS 1045.00-1 and an X20 CP1583 CPU. Can I use this combination ?

Which AS version do I need then?

Thank you LG

Hi @Maxi ,
Welcome to the Community!
Yes, you can use ACOPOS 1045.00-1 in combination with X20CP1583, but you need an additional card plugged in the ACOPOS, for example for the powerlink communication you can use the old 8AC112 or the new 8AC114:

Which card do you see in your ACOPOS?
Thanks

Hallo Max,

die X20CP1583 wird nur im AS4.0 bis AS4.12 unterstĂĽtzt

Danke fĂĽr die Antwort,

Welche AS Version kann denn mit dem Regler arbeiten ?

Max

Ja genau diese Version habe ich AC112.

Hi @Maxi
Feedback from Support:

”When the customer has a machine which is using a combination of AC112 and AC114 then they need to use PLK V1 and need to stay on ACP10 V2.xx.x versions otherwise AC112 won’t work anymore. The latest version in the ACP10 V2.xx.x family is V2.52.8 indeed. This is “so far” away from V3.xx.x because we simply made a version jump with ACOPOS P3 to V3.xx.x Similar to the jump we made from ACP10 V3.18.2 to V5.xx.x and the jump we are going to make from V5.27.x to V6.xx.x”

Sorry @Maxi ,
On my answer I was too focus on the limitation of the old powerlink card AC112, but unfortunately you have another limitation for your old drive as reported by Martin
on the post X20CP1382 and ACOPOS 1090

@stephan.herbig I didn’t make any test but I don’t think we can configure the drive ACOPOS1045.00-1 with AS 4.x

Hi,

Max double check on the label on your ACOPOS1045, do you have ACOPOS 1045.00-1 or ACOPOS 1045.00-2?

Ich habe 8V1045.00-1 REV.M0. Aber diesen konnte ich nicht unter dem Hardware Modulen finden. Deshalb habe ich diese Variante ausgewählt wie Sie oben, in dem Screenshot.

Hi @Maxi ,
unfortunately the Community can’t help you to get the old Acp10_V0.55.6, you need to call local Support in your area; we have different offices in Germany, call the one closer to you. It’s possible they have saved in their server that release, if not they will ask that to our R&D.

Thanks

Herzlichen dank!

Your goal @Maxi is clear, you want to spin the motor with axis test; you don’t need to change CPU, the powerlink interface on X20CP1583 supports the mode V1 that’s only thing you need from CPU side.
Regarding AS 4, it’s hard to say at the moment…maybe you have to run the prj with AS 3.x first and then convert that to AS 4.x.
I see the frustration on your side…you have the correct hw (a little old, but enough to spin your motor), but not the sw…at the end you are stuck.
Our colleagues on Support try to do their best to fix this and other similar issues so they are ready to help you.

Finally I see one the old ACOPOS 8V10xx.00-1

It’s not so simple, even with AS 2.6 I don’t find ACOPOS 8V1045.00-1 as you see below:

I need to ask Support which AS we need to configure that old drive.

HI @valerio.manenti and @Maxi , what is the status of this topic, have you found solution together?

Hi @kovarj , @Maxi
I asked more information to our Support and at the moment I have an update:

The ACOPOS -1 can only used by old AC110 CAN Only and with 0.xx ACP10, we recommend Acp10_V0.55.6.
The ACOPOS -1 doesn’t support powerlink communication, so I’m sorry but my note was wrong:
>Your goal @Maxi is clear, you want to spin the motor with axis test; you don’t need to change CPU, the powerlink interface on X20CP1583 supports the mode V1 that’s only thing you need from CPU side.

Fortunately on your X20CP1583 you have plugged the CAN interface X20IF1072.

I did a test with AS 2.6 and now when I select your CAN Interface I can select your old drive:

but when I tried to add the drive you see the error below:

but AS added anyway the drive (in that version PlcOpen was not ready yet):

I updated ACP10 version: Tools > Upgrades… > Browse local storage…

Next step I removed acp10man 0.55.5:

and added the version 0.55.6.
I deleted the drive and added it again at the end:

Next step: Can I open that prj made with AS 2.6 with AS 3.x, for example 3.0.90.28 SP10?

Conversion made by AS with no error:

but AS replaced our acp10man library v0.55.6 with the latest available on my pc 2.43.1, because on my pc there is not installed an acp10 library version 0.55.6 compatible with new format for AS 3.x

so for this first test we can run old drive ACOPOS 1045.00-1, but for the moment with only AS 2.x

Back to your question:

ich habe einen relativ alten ACOPOS 1045.00-1. Sowie eine X20 CP1583 CPU. Kann ich diese Kombination verwenden ?

We don’t have Automation Runtime available for your “new“ X20CP1583 for old AS 2.x, so the answer unfortunately is no.

Final feedback from Support 02/24/2026:
ACOPOS 8Vxxxx-1 support was cancelled starting with AS3. So there is no way to run such device in AS4.

From the AS3.x help:
